OK, I mean it should work using the patch from attachement,
BUT I've found no time to test it propelly. I'll do it in
the next days...
I've rewritten the profile code a little bit, so it works
differently, but IMHO better now (and may be more general
for later implementations of auth-methods).
First, the user specific config file section will be read
and the values or defaults applied. Then, LDAP values are
read and applied if given.
Now, you can set some per user (or per user group using
"foo*" wildcard-setions) defaults in the config file and
override values you need from LDAP.
BTW: The patch contains also a fix for socket i/o retry
handling (common/com-socket.{c,h} changes) ...
