I think branding is always a good way to get the attention on the project. People can see that the system in front of them is opensuse education, if it is branded as opensuse education.

BTW, i took a look at the bootsplash and gdm branding packages and i will take care of one more package gconf2-branding-openSUSE-2.24-13.13 as parts are done there.
