Hello Samo,
Our project, openSUSE-Education is not yet an individual distribution,
it is an add on product
that brings with it the resources to install a collection of educational
use software and school administration
tools. We too include Squid and Dan's Guardian and more, as tools to
decrease costs. Our goal is to provide
age specific desktop configurations as well as several server
configurations. Our project is compatible with openSUSE 11
and SLE 10.
There are answers that others can give you but I think this is a good start.
