How to setup email for remote viewing?

I am able to to ssh into my SS20 home server from work and run a console
email client such as pine. 

I also setup Kmail (on the home server) to regularly download my email
from my ISP. (It goes into /home/user/Mail as a file named Inbox.) 

How can I configure pine to use the Kmail Inbox, or alternatively, how
do I configure pine to regularly poll for email? 

Or how might I set up my home web server to display my email just like
mail.yahoo.com or some other web-based email service?
