Hi Rob, I have an ultra-1, the first GNU/Linux distro i tried was a Suse (7.1 or 7.2), i've try the Mandrake too,but now i use a debian one, and i'm an happy man! ;o) I don't know about the current state of SUSE-sparc, sorry... I use my station as a firewall/gateway, debian seems to be very bullet-proof, and it's easy to intall, to use and to maintain (for me without Display/keyboard), i just do some times to times an "apt-get update" and/or "an apt-get upgrades" so my machine is always up to date with latest versions, security patches and bug fixes. Best regards, Chris.
