Hi Roger,
this is not the worst thing to do - I still have good ol' 7.3 running here =
- but it suffers from many issues (on sparc 64 AFAIK), stability etc ...
Debian sarge is not bad - but again, only AFAIK on one of my two U60. You'l=
l probably have to scan through the mailing lists. I run 2.4.29 on sarge wi=
th good results.
