Hi,

first of all a small correction, the machine has 2 CPUs with 248 MHz,
not 450 MHz as falsely stated.

I was using an old Wyse terminal and that was the problem. After
reaching the point where the modprobe errors occured the terminal is
reset and this reset forced a reset of the machine. It was as though I
had pressed the F5 (break) key on the terminal.

How did I find out? Well I hooked up a laptop running minicom, to be
able to capture and read all these messages rushing past on the screen.
Imagine my surprise when I powered up and the boot proccess ran without
any problem.

Hopefully the rest of the installation will continue without surprises!

Jochen
