Netatalk problem Freezed my system

Hi folks 

After a long period of activity with my Suse on E450 I got an error with
my Atalk daemon
The system crashed :-(
this is the error message:

Apr 22 19:06:49 My-SuseServ afpd[858]: dsi_stream_write: Broken pipe

Maybe I only need an upgrade of the atalk daemon ??
Any idea ?
I need some help.
