Aurora Kernel 2.4 for sparc 32

Does anyone have any experience with the 2.4 kernel under development at
http://aurora.linuxpower.org ? I know they are attempting to produce a
Red Hat 7.3 for sparc 32, but then a working kernel should work
regardless of distribution. Doesn't the spirit of Open Source mean that
SuSE can take advantage of their work for a SuSE 8.0 Sparc 32 ;)
