Hi,

Thanks for all your answer, all of you :-).

To be able to go further in the installation process.
I had to remove the PCI graphic card (Elite 3D)
and use the parameter ide=nodma on the SILO
command line (boot: yast2 ide=nodma).
Both were needed to keep the installation going on.

Yast2 creates the partition, and asks for what
packages I want. Just to have something running,
I selected the default configuation. But when it
begans to install the packages, it warns me than
quiet a lot of them do not install correctly.
And if I keep going on, the installation crashes
with an exception error. Don't know why :-(.

Is it possible (and useful) to update the PROM
of the SunBlade100 (something like updating
the bios on a i386 !!). (*sigh*)
I am trying to install SuSE 7.3 on the second
HDD. Could it be a source of error ??
(Don't think....but !! )

I don't know exactly where the problem is,
and the log of Yast2 is minimal
(Bla bla packages returns 1, nothing more).

Doomed to a Solaris Only machine ??

Thanks again,

                                                                 Alex
