Re: very slow konqueror startup in kde3 (was: mixed results with kde 3 -- anyone else using it?)

To anyone trying kde3:

I was able to clear up my slow konqueror problem by installing qt 3.0.3
from source (Suse's rpm is 3.0.4). 

I just built it with QTDIR=/usr/local/qt, and did a ./configure
-thread, then make. 

Made two symlinks: /usr/bin/qtconfig -> /usr/local/qt/bin/qtconfig
/usr/lib/qt3 -> /usr/local/qt

Maybe SuSE can make us a nice RPM built the same way they built 3.0.4
