for me playing mp3s worked fine using mpg123, didn't try xmms yet.
However i noticed that bladenc don't work on the Blade, it just produces
something like white noise... (probably an endianess issue). So if you
tried to play an mp3 that you encoded with bladenc, you should try again
with a 'clean' mp3.
