I had similar problems with a SparcStation 5, with a disk without any partition table. It wasn't possible to partition it using the SuSE 7.3 install program (even erasing and rereading the partition table didn't help). The only way i found was to fdisk the drive manually. If you install over a serial console where you can't switch the virtual console to get a shell, the only way i found was to remove the disk and mount it on another computer. After that i just read the existing partition table in the install program and everything went fine. hth /Martin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
