How to update gcc

Hi,
we have SuSE 7.3 running on an SPARC Ultra60.
Problem is that compiled software (scripts from confixx)
can´t executed cause of the kernel is compiled with a gcc which
is much older than the gcc used to create the binaries.
is there a way to update gcc on SuSE 7.3 SPARC?
