silo boot loader

Hi,

I am having problems activating silo (boot loader for sparc).  
On disk1, I have Solaris 8 in the first few partitions and SuSe for Sparc in the higher number partitions.
When I configure SILO from yast2, it accepts the configuration, but when rebooting the sparc (ultrasparc 60) , it boots Solaris 8 again, without showing the boot loader.
Just booting suse V7.3 using the SUSE CD still works.
Any suggestions ?
