Thorsten, which kernel do you use on those machines?

I am asking this, because the following happened to me: With both SuSE
7.1 and 7.3 I experienced problems with a SCSI scanner when I used the
shipped 2.4 kernels. Sane just didn't recognize it. With the 2.2
kernels it works without problems. This happened on both, sun4m and
sun4u machines.

Seemed to me that the sg devices have some problems with 2.4 sparc
kernels.
