Hi All, I unsuccessful tried install SuSE from CDs on my Sparc Station5. I tried 3 methods with some variations: 1. Classic YaST stoped before installing of packages with some error like "instert CD1" When I checked box "show detais" it said that can't mount CD1 becuse of /dev/sr0 is already mounted on /var/adm/mount ... I switched on shell and saw that yast run from CD. Not from some ramdisk. Of cousre fuser show that /dev/sr0 is under kernel so I can't kill it ;-) 2. From HD Than I tried to copy 1st CD contents (except k2de* & x*) on free partition on /dev/sda5. After boot from CD and run install from hardisk YaST asked on which partition and which directory install source is... I've tried all posible directories from "/" to "/sue/inst-sys/" but yast can't found nothing from which install. 3. YaST from HD Boot into rescue mode, chroot to /suse/inst-sys (on /dev/sda5) and run /sbin/inst_setup or something of /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/ have not successed too. The most optimistic case was when yast not found the hard disk %-[ Any ideas? Best regars Vladislav
