problem with harddisks

HI,

I use a SPARCstation 20 with an internal HD (conner 1GB).
Now I got a new scsi disk with 9 GB. After booting from CDROM yast
cannot format the HD (unknown partition table). with fdisk I deleted
all old partitions. Same Problem with an other disk.
Can anyone help me?

PS: The system will not boot with the old and an new disk. Problem
with the VFS.???
