I changed the mouse type setting to IMPS2, but I still get the error message that the mouse failed to initialize. I tried setting my chipset to SAVAGE, but that didn't seem to make a difference either. When I set it to VGA, the vgatest was able to switch modes properly though. The mode ZSNES is trying to use is 320x240 with 16-bit colors. It complains at start-up that I'm using 8-bit colors, but I suppose it should be able to switch to 16-bit. vgatest does list the 320x240 mode, but it only lists it with 8-bit colors. SNES9x still segfaults with all these changes.
