Nigel, what about giving some maintainers you trust access to the 
tuxonice repo, to "officially" generate patches? Or, you could just pull 
these patches from selected developers.

I'm maintaining the Ubuntu PPA and have some scripts for that. But I 
think a git branch for that could be better as well. This would also 
allow other people to work on it.

Would a migration to github or so make the work easier for Nigel and 
everybody else?

I think, making the contribution to TuxOnIce easy for everybody means 
less work for Nigel. After a while, maybe some of the maintainers get 
more into TuxOnIce and even start to continue the development of TuxOnIce?

This way, Nigel can reduce his work or even fade out slowly. Still, we 
all win since TuxOnIce stays alive...
