Yeah- 2.6.39.4 has always worked (well, once I applied a USB CD-ROM
patch I found on the 'net that would have broken any suspend method).

I've thought about it, but I'm always afraid something wouldn't have
been 3.X-ready.

Since it's been what? a year now, I guess it's time to take the plunge.
It's funny when my Android handset and tablet have a better kernel than
my primary laptop does. :)
