Tao 4 i386 Final Release Available

Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce that Tao 4 has gone 'gold'.  I and a few others
did some test installs yesterday while the mirrors picked it up, and
it's looking good.  I won't have time to update the website today, but
when I checked this morning all the mirrors had picked it up - so PLEASE
use the mirror closest to you.

Changes from the beta:
- Fixed mod_perl, httpd wouldn't start
- Fixed glade, wouldn't start
- Corrected comps.xml to always install tao-yumconf
- GDM theme artwork from Ben Cobb
- Included lots of good free html documentation, included in a
'graphical internet' install

Changes from Tao 1.0 and other outstanding issues:
- Currently doesn't ship an i586 kernel.  The kernel source rpm no
longer includes i586 configs, so it's not obvious how to do a good job
of it.  I personally never use i586 hardware, but generally I'll look at
this in proportion to the number of screaming users.
- The version of yum shipped doesn't include protectbase functionality,
due to the difficulty in porting.  The good news is, development
versions of yum include 'plugin' support, and a protectbase plugin
similar in functionality already exists.
- No tray notification for updates or GUI update tool.  I'm watching and
investigating possibilities here.  If this ever happens, it may only
ever go into 'contrib'.  Note that Tao 1 didn't have these, either.
- No add-ons have been folded in - as and if freely available RH source
rpms become available with clustering, eclipse, etc, I'll look at
merging them into the main distribution.

You can download Tao 4 by navigating to a mirror near you from the
taolinux.org download page, and following tao-4/i386/isos.  Note that
you can download 4 <650MB isos, or a single 2GB binary dvd iso.  Also,
the srpm isos are in tao-4/srpms/isos.
