I've got taolinux-1 installed on /dev/hda. When I boot the tao-4 CDROM it does not offer me the opportunity to upgrade. If I reboot it and type "linux askmethod" it does, but finds no upgradable linux installations. Further, if I have /dev/hdb in the machine (hdb carries an old RH72 installation from a previous life), and boot the CD with "linux askmethod" it finds the RH72 system as the only upgradeable installation. This leads me to guess that Anaconda has never been "fixed" so that it=20 will recognize a taolinux installation as upgradeable. can anyone confirm or deny this theory? Also, I'm assuming that I could hack the /etc/redhat-release file on my tao-1 installation and make it work. Can you suggest what I ought to put into it to fake out anaconda and get the correct result? Gracias!
