One thing that helps me use my belkin KVM switch is to do this to
my /etc/X11/XF86Config file

find the lines that say:

        Option      "Protocol" "IMPS/2"

and change them to:

        Option      "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"

You might also just try the VESA driver for video, OR see the video
SPECS for the KVM switch and change the lines (in XF86Config):

        HorizSync    31.0 - 82.0
        VertRefresh  55.0 - 120.0

(those are for my Monitor ... don't use them, but see if you can see the
freq ranges that your KVM supports and modify yours VertRefresh and
HorizSync to match that)
