One way to handle these is to explicitely list the packages in your yum
configuration files.  For example, an entry like this:

includepkgs=apg bash-completion clamav clamav-db clamd dconf grepmail 

will ensure that you're only pulling those packages from that specific
repository.

It does make it a bit of a pain if you're adding new packages since
you're then responsible for resolving your own dependencies.  However,
if you have a relatively stable system and just want updates, this will
certainly help.
