Re: umount /var is busy on shutdown

Ivan,

I wasn't sure what LAuS really was until this morning after Googling. I did not get a chance to see if I had it installed before I finally re-installed, but after re-installing, I could not find the program by running "rpm -qa | grep LAuS". 

Since reverting back to the vanilla Update 2 install without upgrading with yum, I have not seen the 'busy' problem.

Does anyone know if LAuS is installed as a new package with the update, or what the package name is?

This could possibly be something I would like to exclude in my yum.conf.

Thanks for the reply and any other help others may offer.

    I had the same problem some time ago, in my case there were no files
opened on /var but it was reported as busy.

I resolved the problem removing /var as a separate partition.
