x86_64 Tao: yum fall back on i386 RPMs?

Hi.  I'm running Tao on an x86_64 system, and it's going well, but
when I want to install a new package, yum only sees the ones that are
x86_64 specific.

For instance, when I tried to install lilo with "yum install lilo", it
came up as unavailable.  But I can download the i386 rpm and install
it with rpm.

I assume that yum can be told to fall back on the i386 rpms when it
can't find an x86_64 rpm, but I don't know if that's a good idea.  Can
anyone share any insights or hints?
