Silicon Image 3114 SATA Raid?

Hi list!

I want to use RAID1 on a SIL3114 controller.

I created theraid1 array in the BIOS of the controller but when I boot Tao 
U2 I can still see the two drives separately as sda and sdb.

Is this correct?

How should I proceed creating the array? Should I create a software raid 1 
array or anything?
