I am running Tao update 2 that has the latest updates applied. I seem to be having a problem with my video. I am using an Intel D845GVSRL motherboard which has the Intel Extreme Graphics controller built on the board. This particular machine is ganged through a KVM with 3 other machines. All work fine except the Extreme Graphics machine. Before the updates of Update2, video would just disappear when X would start, including all 6 console windows. After the update, I get nice vertical color stripes on all 7 windows (X plus the 6 consoles). The really bad part is that this only happens through the KVM. I realize I could run this without the KVM, but that means buying another monitor, and I can't really afford to do this as we want to use this board as a replacement for all of our Dell machines when they fail. Has anyone seen this and have a solution. I'm not sure it's strictly related to the KVM, but that it is just a consequence of all factors. I did actually get things to start once (without any changes). I just don't know how. Thanks Steve Campbell campbell-TtXmYh9KqR1Wk0Htik3J/[email protected] Charleston Newspapers
