Get the chainsaws ready. Out on a limb here. IF the KVM is giving the video card feedback, the setting may be out of range for the monitor. Have you tried setting the video settings manually to a low level setting? The thinking here is that the new cards can out drive the monitor where the older cards maxed out were within the capabilities of the monitor. With a direct connection it gets the correct feedback. Just a theory. Go ahead and crank em up!
