Beats me. This is from the very build box (not originally but has been
very long time).

[root@tru64 /]# snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 127.0.0.1 system
Timeout: No Response from 127.0.0.1
[root@tru64 /]# /etc/init.d/snmpd start
Starting snmpd:                                            [  OK  ]
[root@tru64 /]# snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 127.0.0.1 system.sysDescr
sysDescr.0 = STRING: Linux tru64 2.4.21-20.6.0.1.EC #1 Thu Dec 2 17:54:27 EET 2004 x86_64
[root@tru64 /]# netstat -lp | grep snmpd
tcp        0      0 *:smux                      *:* LISTEN      855/snmpd           
udp        0      0 *:snmp                  *:*			855/snmpd           
[root@tru64 /]# /etc/init.d/snmpd stop
Stopping snmpd:                                            [  OK  ]


So i really can't say what is fscked. One thing is that this build box
definetly don't have _any_ ia32 RPMS installed (of cource it does have
glibc and glibc-devel as those has been pretty mandatory to keep
building updates right).
