vim-minimal updates saves /etc/vimrc.rpmnew

running yum update on an Update 3 machine always gives :

warning: /etc/vimrc created as /etc/vimrc.rpmnew
vim-minimal 100 % done 30/131

--
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root         1120 Dec 21 19:00 /etc/vimrc
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root         1120 Dec 21 19:00 /etc/vimrc.rpmnew

cmp also doens't give a difference in the file
is there a problem in the rpm maybe ?
