yum not working ok on x86_64 ?

first, why is yum on x86_64 not the same version as the i386 tao ?

x86_64 : ( yum-2.0.8-TL2 / tao-yumconf-2-TL7)

i386 system : ( yum-2.0.8-TL3 / tao-yumconf-2-TL8)

adding my own yum repository doesn't work ok

first run gives me :

I will do the following:
[update: wget 1.9.1-17.x86_64]
[update: mdadm 1.8.0-1.x86_64]
Is this ok [y/N]: n

the in found #protectbasesystem=1 is a comment on the x86_64 tao config
changed this to protectbasesystem=1

now madam is protected but wget is not :

[update: wget 1.9.1-17.x86_64]
Is this ok [y/N]:

why is wget not protected ??
