Hi David! yum-2.2.0 was added to contrib a few days ago, but I think that it was not a very good decision. On systems without "protectbasesystem=1" in yum.conf and with contrib enabled (which so far was painless due to the non-overlapping of packages), 'yum update' will install the new yum; after the installation, running yum again will fail because it doesn't find the XML repodata directories. So, would it be possible for you to add the XML repodata for TaoLinux 1.0 directories such that yum-2.2 will work ? (which means to also continue to do it for updates...) This way, people that don't use protectbase and have contrib enabled in yum.conf can just seamlessly jump from yum-2.0 to yum-2.2. In other cases (using protectbase or disabled contrib), the new yum will not be installed and the problem doesn't exist. -- Bogdan Costescu IWR - Interdisziplinaeres Zentrum fuer Wissenschaftliches Rechnen Universitaet Heidelberg, INF 368, D-69120 Heidelberg, GERMANY Telephone: +49 6221 54 8869, Telefax: +49 6221 54 8868 E-mail: Bogdan.Costescu-PDzUyZpvkMP/PDbm/[email protected]
