I installed the Tao 4 release from the stanford DVD iso earlier this
week and the install was fine.  I've got a broken video card that I'm
fighting right now (I'm pretty sure it's not the X config) or I would
have tested more, but so far, so good.

Arjan (from Red Hat) posted to one of the redhat list about upgrading
via up2date and the short answer is do not do it.  Absolutely postively
not - some stuff *will* break and very badly.  Use anaconda and it
mostly works.  Red Hat has a pdf online that dicusses your upgrade
options and you can research the taroon and nahant lists for other users
experiences.

If you can do a fresh install, that is the preferred approach.  Anaconda
is next.  yum/rpm absolutely not.
