I'm using yam to provide local copies of Tao 1 and 4.  So I have the DVD 
ISOs and the update RPMs locally, disk space is for Tao 1.0 is:

[root@computer tao-1.0-i386]# du -sh .
3.3G	.

and for interest, for Tao 4:

[root@computer tao-4-i386]# du -sh .
2.6G    .
