I'm going to try google -> st0a, i hope get any answers. Another thing: in theory a DDS3 cartridge have a capacity up to 12 GB, without data compression. What is exactly the compressed mode in tape devices??, if i type 'mt status', i get that the device have the compressed mode ON, i think that this compression is made by the hardware, but i'm not sure, because in the device specifications the capacity of the device is 24BG, using DDS3, so i think that is supossed that the device makes a data compression, that is software independent. Any clues???? Thanks Mr. James W. Laferriere wrote: > Hello Pablo , Both "man st" & > "more path-to-linux/drivers/scsi/README.st" have info .
