EOT in 2.4.18 kernel

Hi,

For some reason I have to use the 2.4.18 kernel, but I realized there is a
bug in the st driver:

for which there are patches in higher kernels, such as 2.4.20+

Basically we can reach the end of the tape while archiving, and we don't
get an EOT, and we keep on archiving, but tar e.g. fails.

Does anyone have a kernel patch for 2.4.18?
