why did nobody agree when i brought that up at the hackfest ? 
indeed they belong in their own package :)
is someone keen top open a new branch for them ? else i will do that on
the weekend (currenty its only the two scripts that are functional, so i
would propose these to be in the actual loaclapps-trunk, the broken C
code should be in an experimental branch imho).
