Ah ha! The magic word "public key". I didn't realize vnc could use a
private/public key pair. I thought the same password file had to be
used for encryption and decryption. This is a good way of doing
things. I have to read up on generating these keys for x11vnc. I can
set the perm of the private key to be readable only by root on the
ltsp server.

BTW I really like giving the option to enable/disable this feature in
lts.conf  It's the same way Eric used to do it with k12ltsp.

Yes this is best for scalability. But fl_teachertool does not use
x11vnc for broadcasting. For broadcasting I use vncreflector. I need
x11vnc for snapshots, monitoring, controlling (remote control
keyboard+mouse).
