'numlockx' patch status in ldm ? (was: Enable numlock in ldm greeter)

After chatting w/vagrantc in #ltsp he pointed me to this thread, 
regarding an issue I've been trying to figure out:

I was wondering of the status on this patch - I don't really have a 
testbed of sorts to test the patch - but was curious if it will be put 
in place anytime soon. I have 7 sites with ~200 numbers-for-usernames at 
each site and < 14 year old students logging in, so this is a very 
valuable patch for me. Thanks for any info!
