well, i thought about creating a tmpfs and merge that via a union with
the ~/.local/share/applications/ dir (teh physical dir being teh
readonly part here) on the client, then copy mangled .desktop files in
place that run the xrexe command ... the same goes for ~/.config/menus/
to hide the server side menu entries...
