Right, other than the "how to install" section, which might end up pointing to
docs elsewhere, I'd like to eliminate distroisms, or maybe conditionalize
them...

What would be neat would be if we could have conditionals within the XML, so we
could provide, say, a make variable that would include distrosims as
needed/desired.  I'd expect we could do it with the standard m4 macro
preprocessor, or maybe there's something within docbook/xml itself we could
leverage?
