Changing ssh encryption method

In whichever version of ldm shipped with Debian/Etch's LTSP, ldm was a
script and I could edit it to add a "-c arcfour" option to ssh
(this seems to reduce CPU load by ~20-25% compared with the default, at
least on my setup).

Having upgraded the server to Lenny (LTSP 5.1.10), ldm is now a binary.
Any suggestions for the best way to achieve the same effect now ?

I'm guessing I can, in 
  /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/ssh/ssh_config
uncomment Ciphers and move arcfour up to the front of the list, but
I'm not sure how that interacts with the sshd_config on the server, and
annoyingly even setting "Logging DEBUG2" on the server sshd_config
doesn't seem to actually tell you which encryption was negotiated.

Or maybe there's some nice simple lts.conf option I'm missing
(I already have NETWORK_COMPRESSION=False there).
