manually calling rdesktop, it logs in, using Exec or Name, but ignores them. it
gets the default. i'm thinking this is a bug, possibly specific to debian's
xrdp. or maybe this feature is implemented in the patches applied to
(open)suse?

just to be clear: the patch to ldm actually *broke* the login; whereas before
simply session selection was broken (it would use the default no matter what).
so something isn't right with the patch.
