pulseaudio and module-udev-detect

ok, so apparently it is not so simple as detecting the pulseaudio version.  on
Debian, pulseaudio 0.9.17-1 does not support "module-udev-detect", and works
fine with "module-detect". which the current detection code assumes anything
0.9.16* or newer supports module-udev-detect. so i patched out the version
detection in my last upload to Debian.

seems like having to look for the module by paths might be the only reliable
way to go, even if maybe slightly expensive... it varies greatly distro by
distro, and maybe even within a given release of a distro...

alternately, johnny mentioned getting pulseaudio to support overriding
configuration file options with commandline parameters as another possibility,
if the pulseaudio folks are amenable to the idea. but that would allow us to
specify only the details we actually care about (probably largely the network
related stuff).
