Hey everyone,

As I mentioned it on IRC a couple of time recently, my current goal is
to have LTSP 5.2 out before the end of the day (around midnight EST)
tomorrow (Wednesday 17th of February).

That'll allow Ubuntu to have it in the archive before its Feature Freeze
(and if I recall correctly, we aren't the only one approaching our
release-freeze).

Over the last few tests I made, it seems ltsp-trunk, ltspfs-trunk and
ldm-trunk are in pretty good shape at the moment and I'm just waiting
for more testing (especially from these of you who had nbd-proxy issues
recently) to consider it ready for release.

I know it's quite short notice and I'm sorry for not having mentioned it
on the Mailing-List earlier but I'd really really appreciate to get as
much testing coverage as possible so LTSP 5.2 will rock.

Areas that need extended testing are:
 - nbd-proxy (it should work for everybody, if it doesn't, yell at me)
 - localapps (menu generation code especially)
 - ltspfs (both on the server and for localapps)
 - fat client (I'm running it in production, looks good, not very fast
but good for a very recent feature)
 - ltsp-build-client/ltsp-update-image

I guess these were the areas with the most changes over the past few
weeks but feel free to test as much as you want.

It'd also be great if people could refrain from adding new features at
this point and rather focus on testing and debugging (that's basically
the goal for tomorrow ;))

Thanks everyone and looking forward to seeing LTSP 5.2 released.
