Can you please tell me where the configuration files to setup an LTSP server
on your distro are and what is in there, like ip of server, dhcp range...
whatever?

The XML is ONLY for the GUI, it will be somewhat a backup. The XML will be
updated when configuration file was changed, and all changed data from the
GUI is written also to the configuration file.
