Re: Very slow guest login

As I mentioned previously, there is a very good way to do that, with an 
nbd-server copy-on-write export that will provide the /home/user/ folder.
This even speeds up things more, as the users access their /home over 
nbd instead of over sshfs, and it makes them more stable, as there are 
no sshfs file locking issues. And it saves RAM, as the disk "sectors" 
written are on the server instead of on a tmpfs. And there's no 
rsync/copy involved, since it's copy-on-write. The export is instant.

The bad news is that while I've successfully used this method in the 
past, I don't know of any documentation about it, and it would take a 
couple of hours to properly document it, so... you'd need to spend some 
time reading the ltsp source code and the nbd-server manpage to 
implement it. :/
