NBD swap

I need a clarification about NBD swap.

I've set this on my lts.conf:

_USE_LOCAL_SWAP=False_
_NBD_SWAP=True_

So, I assume (as per lts.conf manual) that my fat clients have swap if
they have less of 800 MB of RAM (but on the manual  NBD_SWAP_THRESHOLD
is referred to thin client only!).

But with top command I see swap o my fat clients that have 2GB of RAM!

Then I've this on my syslog on the server:

_Jan 17 08:29:26 ltspmartini nbd_server[8988]: connect from
172.20.18.131, assigned file is /tmp/nbd-swap/172.20.18.131_
_Jan 17 08:29:26 ltspmartini nbd_server[8988]: Can't open authorization
file /etc/ltsp/nbd-server.allow (No such file or directory)._

In fact I don't have nbd-server.allow on my server and there are no
folders inside tmp/nbd-swap.

I assume that NBD swap doesn't work and perhaps this is the reason why
Chromium and Firefox sometimes explode on my fat clients.

Perhaps someone can clarify how NBD works.
